Biography

Blessing is a gerontology social worker and she is currently a PhD candidate at the Department of Health, Aging and Society, McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She got her bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of Nigeria and a Master of Science in Gerontology from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom.

Her research interests include social isolation, mobility, homelessness and interventions to improve quality of life of older adults in refugee camps.

Blessing is a gerontological Social worker and a doctoral student of Social Gerontology at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She obtained a Masters of Science in Gerontology from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom and a BSc in Social work from the University of Nigeria.

Blessing’s works focus on loneliness, social isolation, social inequalities and cumulative disadvantages among older adults. Her current research interests centers on internal displacement among older adults in Africa.
